A.FIRE.I

A.FIRE.I

A Poem by Dano

Words strung together delicately
A simplistic beauty
Your voice carries over the electric current
A let down, small and weak
You don't deliver, your voice fails me
Last year was just the beginning
Bring back the fire
Make it hurt, let it bleed
Look inside, dig in deep
Search for the fire burning inside
Bring the pain, unleash the misery
Serenade me until your voice fails
I don't want soft and tender
I want the searing screams of years past
I want the rumbling of the fire burning inside you
Taste the heat on your tongue
It wants a release
Dance through Sunday, under the hole punched twilight
Bring the pain, the searing screams, the blood
Shred your voice once more
Don't let this fire die
