Rainbow Bridge

Rainbow Bridge

A Poem by Courtney Hough
"

Rest in Peace Sammy Sue

"

It’s beautiful here,

And I am now free.

No more pain no more falls,

Just a sunny nap under the tree.

Please don’t cry,

Our time is not done.

It’s just a new adventure,

Up here in the sky.

I had to go first,

I want to make sure it’s just right.

You’ve done so much for me,

So let me go first into the light.

I will never leave you,

I’ll be by your side.

I’ll tell God all about you,

So please don’t cry.

I’m with so much family,

And I know I’ll see you soon.

So for now I’ll just nap,

And enjoy this sunny afternoon.

I love you. See you soon.

Hopeful and wonderful words shared dear Courtney. I love the time I can spend near the lakes and in the forest. A blessing to be in the arms of nature. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.

This made me cry. I've lost too many of them. Its so very hard each time. They needed and loved me more than I even loved them-and that was so much. Each one was special. Thank you for putting words to this

Courtney, your poems are always filled with so much raw emotion. One of the best poems I have read in my life. Deserves SO much more recognition. After all, you have been through, you deserve to be able to be heard. I adore your writing skills. Stay happy, stay strong my beautiful Courtney. -Kay

What a sad and beautiful poem. I love the irony of a happy peaceful life event that has a sad connotation to it otherwise. You turned it into such a beautiful scene! Wonderful writing.

May peace be with you and your loved ones.

Your friend is in good hands. I'm sorry for your loss. Let each tear that falls be a message to the angels of how much you have loved. Rest In Peace, may your friend be the mate of the messengers.

I've lost more cats than dogs, but I hope they're all in a better place...just waiting for me on the other side!
