If only time were on a string- I'd tug it back and you'd be here with me.

If only time were on a string
Then I could tug it back

We’d walk in all those moments
That we didn’t want to leave
And again say all the words
So they could linger longer in the air
We could hear the love inside them
And hold them to our hearts
And if the moment slipped away again
We’d simply pull it back
Yes, if only time were on a string
It could be held by you and me
So I could hold your hand forever
And never have to watch you leave
Yes, if time were on a string
You would never have to leave

This is a brilliant concept and an excellent write. I love the thought of time being on a string... we could just hold onto those particular special moments forever. "We'd walk in all those moments that we didn't want to leave"... great line. Very nice work and an enjoyable read. Thanks for sharing.
