something i apparently wrote lastnight and can't remember so unedited but going to upload and fix along the way

Never Meant To Flower

Some seeds are planted,

yet never come to flower;

having had all the essentials,

they still never come to be.

Yet these unflowered seeds

are cherished, loved, sometimes

 most of all, as some never

 experience the joy of a budding

 flower, watching it open and flourish.

And still.. those seeds that were never 

meant to flower, are loved, forever missed,

forever to remain unphsyically kissed.

There, but gone. Isn't, but was.

Never had been, but always 

will be because in our hearts

and minds you always are.

something a little different i think that you don't normally see..a bit taboo at times so hope it doesn't offend.

I like the premise of this poem, as stated in the title. It is thought-provoking -- it brings to mind kids who are hurt, neglected, or chronically abused . . . some mean person or bad life circumstances taking away their spark of life, so that they never grow into their full potential. I think this poem could be developed to show a deeper meaning, as we don't see why all this love happens, but the flower doesn't bloom.

You were very close..i actually wrote it with miscarriage in mind but as you say it is open to interpretation so it can mean whatever to whoever reads it really. this reminds me of the parable of the sower... so sad, but true not all come to a harvest/flower and don't experience the joy of the spirit...

I loved the meaning and thought of this poem, the title itself provokes a deep meaning, you kept a simple language and delivered the message really well... The seeds which had all the abilities to become flowers has been abandoned and somehow lost its power because of some external effect... I really this is your best work in terms meaning and message, it is telling a story of those children who doesn't flourish in spite of having all the capabilities.... Your ending was heart touching as you said "because in our hearts and minds you always are"..... Really hats off!!
