A poem for my Princess

 

My Princess

 

I love you more than words can say.

With acts of kindness and love I show to you each day.

 

So precious, so perfect and tender.

You look up at me, smiling with your beautiful, small brown eyes.

 

I love every part of you and everything you do.

I love to watch you think and figure things out.

 

How you get so mad when you don’t understand.

Just a little guidance and help from a gentle hand.

 

The way you call me in the middle of the night.

Stumbling and so tired I come to you, making sure your alright.

 

How you laugh and giggle and love being tickled.

We play games with your pig’s until you can’t stand it.

 

The way you dress me up I could be a Queen

On every finger you put a ring.

 

You make me laugh with your funny faces

And your funny voices and all of your phrases.

 

When you sneak up on me when I’m not watching,

And I jump each time you scare me! (lol she gets me every time!)

 

The sound of your little bare feet running across the floor.

There is nothing I'd wish to hear more.

 

Your precious little fingers and hand I hold up to mine.

For I know they will be alike in no time.

 

Time goes by way to fast.

For these words will be but memories in my past.

 

I love you more than words can say.

For I will always cherish the memories that we make each day.
