A Silent Love

A Silent Love

A Poem by CJ

 A Silent Love

It is not enough

To leave this tearing pain

Your eyes burn right through

The depths of my soul

Do not think

I can leave with you

With only half

Of me to take

Do not think

I would be pleased with you

Do not think I could breathe without you

A contradictory life

Is just what you and I live

It is kind of you to notice

That no one is dying

Even as you laugh

While almost crying

And if you need a reason

Let me know

Because I am here beside you

With nowhere else to go
