Transition

Transition

A Poem by Hyorin

we were once innocuous
the embodiments of purity
young minds yet curious
we spilled into insanity

a maelstrom of plagues
pragmatism, anger, jealousy, sinners
we were once playmates
now us mere strangers

for your rapacious treat
Ambition and Humanity clashed,
smote with a satisfying hit
yet Humanity was quashed

what humans put together
Nature cannot pull asunder
what we have together
Ambition had pulled apart.

Time mocked my bravery
For we were merely alone
Put into the slavery
Of Time's alluring tone.

Time walked his path
I saw you; stranger
You saw me; psychopath
We walked into Danger

Never to see each other again.
