Oasis

are an oasis

in a sea of concrete and glass.

giving up 

to the world

a glance towards god.

you

water this desert

with words and with songs.

humming,

calling the tune

to plants splitting sidewalks.

you

channel this wind

directing these cloudy skies.

blowing

kisses to strangers

who might need a drink

or direction.

you 

are an endless muse

an endless well of hope.

quenching all

thoughts of mediocrity 

in those who breath from you.

breathing for confession

of you

their obsession.

trying to write on a much more regular basis, this is just an idea i had today. it didn't go quite where i imagined it would but i don't mind it.
