No end.

No end.

A Poem by

like watching a movie and the power goes out. the movies not over, and you're just waiting to see how it ends, distracting yourself in the meantime. kinda.

when you unwrapped yourself

from the warm folds of my blankets

for the last time

neither one of us said goodbye.

When my lips left your neck

And brushed against your ear

For the last time

It was not a kiss goodbye.

When you blinked your eyes

And tickled my cheek with your lashes

For the last time

It was not to hold back any tears.

And when I said your name

with a voice so full of trust

for the last time

there was no quiver or fear.

When we last went for a walk

There was no final sip of coffee,

Final step or finish line,

That marked that we were over.

There was no ending after we began,

No final page to our book,

With pages left unwritten,

And an ending yet determined.

Maybe it never will be,

Maybe this will never end,

With pages that wait patiently

For someone to pick up the pen.

Author's Note
the original idea didn't even end up in this, so something similar might pop up soon. whatever rhyme scheme there was falls apart near the end - i know that, and i don't mind it.

Beautifully written. It is sad indeed when u don't get a chance to end things on a definite line. Its sad n troublesome.
