Thin Line

Thin Line

A Poem by Belle

One has a comely face

The other is an evil

They say

But why I feel

They are the same

Extreme

Distressing

Makes me

A fool

Now, I don’t know

The difference

It sounds to me you are talking about love and war . Both can be extreme in a sense at some point or another and both can be distressing and heart-wrenching. Both can make us look like fools at the end of our loss in the battle of wills of sort. That is what I get but knowing you Miss Belle you like to keep meanings to yourself which I can understand . I hope at least I'm close to your intended meaning...
A nice philosophical write ...
Keep up the good work...:)

There is a strong sense of bafflement on here, but in what context? Love and hate? Peace and war? Good and evil? A person can have a mistaken perception of orientation , direction and balance relative to his environment, the people around him and even of himself essentially because both faces of character, of movement or of feeling are too natural and too familiar. There is a fine line between the two faces indeed. In the context of aviation dear Belle as what my Uncle said, it is the primary reason for airplane accidents. The same thing applies to us. This is a very thoughtful write expressed in brevity.

a thin line betwixt love and hate, different sides to the same coin, I had to read this a couple times to realize it's genius, it wonderful Belle, love as war, at odds, wow.

i think that the finest lines are those between reality and fantasy...i like the concept of this verse. we are only human, not divine, so we depend on those fine lines. well written and extremely potent message.

Well, you have left me a lot of room for personal interpretation, Belle, and I like that. This thin line can be drawn on top of anything, I think. There is always a good and bad side. That is in our own perception. But, yeah, it gets to the point with all the thin lines around, who really knows the difference? Great thought for the morning, my friend.

There is always a fine line beteen everything. Good and bad, love and hate, madness and genius, as well as life and death and everything inbetween. It is amazing we actually achieve anything at all with such massive differences just one step or thought away. But somehow, we do :-)

aha! the long debate has been answered below by these brilliant people!
now i can laugh with myself with all those mixture of thoughts and scenario we have talk about...lol
Ok, I think i needed a rephrase on my words to you dear one... your words have these lots of road to choose from, but there is one that will connect everything... is the emotional distress you have been.
mr. Sami says about war, mr. Deigo says about being torn apart and Mr. kiddo said its about a twins...(lots of road indeed)

Ok, now my own view... i guess you distress something we don't have power to decipher each personality as easy as we look at it... it takes time to know someone... but in terms of your own, you'll know very well no matter how we look at it.... you'll always felt they are the same... the thing is if u try harder to decipher both(the two face kung baga) and always put it intact, guarding every move....maybe you'll get lost who is who....emotions is a very agile feeling... maybe too much self control making you lost at things, and to differentiate it, is now confusing...

Brilliant as you are my friend!

Being torn in half, is what I take from this poem... When in doubt, follow the heart? The instinct.
Also wanted to comment on the music and video footage. Moving. I am a big fan of history, and all things related to the middle ages :)
