Still I Glance

Wrote this after realizing a crush of mine is with someone.

Knowing what I know,
still I glance
Retaining curiosity
though another holds your hand
Is it okay for me
to wonder what you do?
While this other lucky person
spends time with you
I don't want to be wrong,
but you seem bright
like a star here on the ground
yet belongs in the sky
Do I want this candle dimmed
or for it to burn?
Who's to say if its okay
for me to yearn
Perhaps you already know
how much you shine through
I would just like to affirm
that glowing is just what you do
