Lines

I wanted to write a poem comprised mostly of pickup lines.

When you smile at the beach
Are ships guided to the sand?
Do rings appear in peoples' pockets
when they see your hand?
I just assume you get a garden
every Valentine's Day
Even if the most you've said
to people is "Hello" or "Hey"
Are cars always crashing
when you cross the street?
Are all the drinks you get
at bars always free?
I'm sure mud parts itself
when you're on a walk
and I can feel time
stop whenever you talk
some constellation is missing a star
since you're here on Earth
or maybe you're a sun from afar
and now I want to be burned
