The Changed Phase

I used to be there,

Where they are now

I used to be there,

And they used to applaud.

Freedom, dignity,

Respect, liberty

They weren’t merely words for me,

They described me.

Honour, pride

They used to be mine.

But life’s only a circle.

There’s always someone to take your place,

There’s always someone to change the phase.

Reality of life has been expressed and pictured exquisitely. Life is indeed a circle, it never ends, it never starts, it goes on. You die- your body does- but the soul doesn't. It is a permanent member of this circle of life till it attains eternal peace. Life has ups and downs- we must adjust ourselves according to them. The person who can go through periods of sadness and failure with a smile on his face and determination to work hard- to endeavour- within actually leads a life- the others moan and groan and blame others for their state.
Your work is excellent. The last three lines are the best ones. Keep writing.

Consider maybe revising the title to Change the Phase?? The poem was very good, and I think that people would be more inclined to look at something that intends the author doing something...
