The Changed Phase

I used to be there,

Where they are now

I used to be there,

And they used to applaud.

Freedom, dignity,

Respect, liberty

They weren’t merely words for me,

They described me.

Honour, pride

They used to be mine.

But life’s only a circle.

There’s always someone to take your place,

There’s always someone to change the phase.

I like the flow and the rhymes. This poem reminds me of the song, "My train of thoughts" by Kamelot. Life is a circle, and we all go through phase shifts as time goes by.
