I couldn’t see

Seeing meant believing,

Believing meant having faith, in someone, in something

Perhaps it meant having faith in the future

Maybe letting go of the past

 

I couldn’t believe

Believing was hoping

Hoping for change, for a difference, an inspiration

Perhaps a metamorphosis

Hoping for something new, something better

 

I was weary, heaven knew I was

Weary of waiting, of hoping against hope

I was tired

 

Until I saw your eyes

I saw your eyes before I saw you

I saw

And I believed

Your eyes

Made me see things different. So different

Saw me like no eyes ever had

Your eyes

Believed in my future

Stopped me from looking back

Beautiful soul I see in your eyes
