Oh, goodness.

Oh, goodness.

A Story by Ash.

When Cody left for home this summer, I thought my world was crumbling. My best friend was leaving, and I wouldn't be seeing him much. The first few weeks were rough, indeed, but this summer, I believe we have grown closer.

We have seen each other only four times, yet each time is memorable. The sense of euphoria I feel when I see his car pull into my driveway is unexplainable. I charish that feeling.

I am thankful he is in my life, that is for sure. Yes, we have our arguments and lash outs, but we also have memories and a connection that will never fade. No matter who or what tries to break our bond, it simply cannot be done. Oh, I am awaiting August 20th, to see him pull into college, and give me a huge hug.
The distance between us, in my opinion, has only made us closer. As someone once said, "Distance makes the heart grow fonder."

Don't be sorry. Things happen in remarkable ways. I was walking to my room, thinking 'Oh, my, goodness'. I logged on and your work was the newest submission to the writers cafe, aptly titled. I couldn't ignore such a chance encounter.

I'm glad you're happy. I am too, now.

Regards,
Solst

P.S. There IS no jumping from where I am reading!
