Extraordinary

Extraordinary

A Poem by Christine

I know not of any other word to attribute

To all the moments culminating to the point we now find

Ourselves.

Us.

We.

Perhaps you don’t think in terms of duality

But in terms of you and I there is no other way.

We are beautifully and grotesquely

Interlaced and untwined,

Stitched and detached

Frayed and mended

Obeying former violations

Contradicting confirmations

We are paradoxical in our nature

But I know not of any other way to know you.
