Liquid Black

Liquid Black

A Poem by inconsistentsea
"

The first two lines were a prompt from someone else.

"
Drowning, my lungs have collapsed,
no air within this dark night-
Screaming, my lungs are taxed,
no end to this end in sight.

Enveloped, moving further down
into liquid black.
Immobilized, there is no sound.
There is no coming back.

The line of fear and acceptance
somewhere way up there.
Slipping out of existence,
my eyes locked in a stare.

Slowly dropping,
no safety net.
Heart sopping,
heavy, wet.

And I forget
what it was
that I meant
to say

to
you
my
love.

Down.
Deep.
Gone.
Sleep.

One thing I like most about this poem is that the flow of the idea of the poem corresponds with the shape of the poem; very creative.

its like a journey into an a pit of nothingness.

I like it
