Meteor Man

Meteor Man

A Poem by Lisa
"

Free verse

"

We’re worlds apart, I,

soft and yielding,

You, iron and ice; yet

Within my atmosphere,

You burn; we burn

I tremble.

Electric, the air between us

Shimmers with possibilities;

Fire.

Destruction.

Creation.

If you touch me, I know

The whole world might

Possibly ignite.

But breathless,

I lean towards you

And something whispers softly

…Let it burn.
