Mother Nature

Mother Nature

A Poem by Ksenia Kazantseva
"

let's fix her broken parts

"

A beautiful woman - her roots woven deep in the earth’s core.

Selflessly, she spreads the joys of the earth’s abundance to us all.

Creating magic

- Balance.

She nurtures us with warmth.

Bathes us in times of heat.

Quiets us with darkness.

Awakens us with light.

You can find me at the highest peak, lying in transparency.

The wind rustling the leaves on the trees, I feel alive.

The sun shining through the clouds, I feel meaning.

The flowers beginning to bloom, I feel anew.

Sigh

All that she created for us and we have failed her.

Her tears can be felt in floods.

Frustration in droughts.

Anger in fires.

Sadness in storms.

Sometimes I stay up late apologizing to her, hoping it’ll help.

I like to fall asleep only when the rain hits.

That way I’ll know she’s heard me.

I’ll listen to her weep and I will heal her.

I will show her I still care.
