It's Just My Luck to See You Now

It's Just My Luck to See You Now

A Poem by Ronnie

So many years of complete despair,

I needed help but you wasn't there,

I called your name through pain and tears,

No comfort, no nothing for all these years.

But now I'm strong and feel complete,

You show up here in your old seat,

Head of our table, our soldier, our king

I'm so aghast I can't say a thing.

I needed you to lead the way,

To teach our children games to play.

Instead I struggled on my own,

You went to war but never came home!

It was just my luck to lose you then,

But you're still my Hero,

My husband,

My friend.
