Letters written from rooftops

Letters written from rooftops

A Poem by Richard Hoover

“Letters written from rooftops”

Starlight skies radiate misinformed goodbyes

Roof Talks turn to lonely long walks

Words twist and turn under the weight of the world

But all your words seem to do is burn

Why do you keep writing? Your words have only gotten you pushed away

You call back to rooftop talks just wanting to belong

When really it was those lonely walks that defined you

But here you are writing unaddressed letters to your soul
