Fury

Fury

A Poem by MCS
"

Anger is an acid that can do more harm to the vessel in which it is stored than to anything on which it is poured. ~ Mark Twain

"

Eyes burning red

Blood pressure rising

Spitting nails is the anger

Running white hot

Failing at suppressing feelings

Worried the explosion will overtake

Temperatures rising to boiling point, about to lose control. A scary place to be as well as a scary place to see. Fury captured so well here MCS.

This feeling, while making the point that you are still alive and can feel with passion and conviction is so familiar and at times scary. You painted a red mask that is the face of pure fury and I felt it in my bones. great writing!
