Syrup

Syrup

A Poem by Jacques - iNkwire
"

I feel mushy and wanted to write the mushiest thing I could. "Syrup is disgusting to everyone but the one consuming it."

"
Something as curious as you
Makes one as curious as I
What did your parents do
To make angels polish those eyes?

And what of your smile?
Does it make clones?
As more just pop up
Everywhere you go

I must know -
Is your voice box a harp?
When it's played, angels show
And a new sunrise starts

When they gave you a heart,
Did they add an H?
'Cause you have a warmth
That makes a fireplace look fake

How many sculptors did it take,
To craft something like you?
Because such a fine shape
Must need more than two

There's something within you
I can't quite see or hear
I might need a telescope
Or perhaps a crystal sphere

It's not a vacuum cleaner
And it isn't a beacon,
But you make dead grass greener
And Mondays feel like weekends

About
Hi. Most of my work is poetry, but I intend to put some stories out in the future. I write about what makes me feel strongly. This approach mostly results in romantic pieces, but I hope to branch o.. more..
