The End.

The End.

A Poem by Danny Sanchez

A shattered existence
A light dimmed by constant pain
Tears that flow like rain
Yearning to awaken to the birds who sung beautiful tunes
Ones I used to appreciate
Instead of the songs of my heart that have left me so blue
Before life dealt me this miserable hand
Unconditional love was given without fear
And it remain true despite the agony, lies, and tears
Desperate for his affection
Sacrificing my self respect for a resurrection
Taken for granted, mistreated and abused
Played with like a doll, while your emotions were removed
Vulnerable in every sense of the word
Screaming and pleading that I be heard
The distance you placed between us
Ultimately was our demise
But I’m sure that you’re not surprised
Because you analyzed it all from beginning to end
You push me away so that you could win;
But instead you loss an integral part of what life has to offer
No more feeling
No more thinking
No more broken hearts
Just you, yourself, and distance
I hope that you’ll miss this
I hope that you’ll kill your fear
I hope that you’ll walk away from this with more than you can bare
My existence has been temporarily shattered but it was worth it, every lesson we learned together
Will one day make us both better
