Turning Eleven...and ten and nine and eight

Turning Eleven...and ten and nine and eight

A Poem by Papercuts.Hate.You.Too

Everyone has all ages in them

The days you want to crawl into your moms lap and cry your eyes out is the 5 year old in you

The days you want everyone to notice you is the 3 year old in you

The days you feel the crazy emotions that you don't under stand is the 10 year old in you

The days you want go outside and till the sun goes down is the 7 year old in you

So on your birthday when you say "I'm eleven today!!!"

Really your eleven and ten and nine and eight...

Indeed you did and express a simple truth in well written prose.
As you grow you tend to supress the real you in favour of what others think you ought to be.The child inside never changes. But sees the world as it is
