the boy searching for the job

the boy searching for the job

A Poem by Rakesh Roushan

With the razor and comb in his hand
he ran away in his childhood
What are u gonna do with it
He replied that he wanna be barber
Dissatisfied and discontented, he returned home
What happened his mother asked
People pay a little for this big work
what kinda work
cutting their hairs and making them shaved and make them look gentle
is a very tough stud for child
its not a child game, his mother replied
then other day he flew away having some recipes in his hands
what are u going to do with it
I am gonna be the best chef in this town the answer came
again after two nights he returned with a drowned face
what happened again her mother asked
he was succeeded till last by the recipes but what to do in last
was not mentioned in the recipe
so he put some salt over where the sugars required
and sprinkled spices where curd was required
all the shame he again was not able to get fame
you fool i always say to remain cool
what was required to flew away without asking, the question arose
i thought i could do with them, the answer thrown
his father sent him to school to learn and get a good job
after passing he returned with a handful of degrees
hoping that surely he will get a job
he went to the city to find some kinda job
hopelessly he returned from there with only a tranquil rumour
what happened his mother asked
my degrees were stolen in the trainyard
you are a shame boy, his mother pitied him
not finding any good work made him trimmed
you are going to be with me at the farm his father queried
no never it is impossible, the boy screamed
next day he went for the manager's post with all his aspirations
hoping to find the place of the peon atleast in such a creation
but what can you do when your luck is not with you..
at here and there he roamed just
but was not able to find even a single turn
then at one place there was a vacancy for a waiter at a hotel
he found that the manager was same who took his interview of making him chef
he ran away from that scene with all his efforts he can
at the night his mother asked what happened
i am exhausted in this world of dreaming
i am not able to find even a single job
if this is life
what about all these i have
what about all study do i had
listen boy this world is illusion, her mother tried
and so dont worry what u are getting
worry what u are doing, his mother made him understood
the next day he woke up predetermined to find atleast one job
he went to give his interview in a dairy shop of being the manager
quite impressed the manager offered him the job
but just the next second a call came
and his job was taken away in just flinch of minute..
totally cracked of determination the boy returned his home
i will get you with the farm from the next day
his father surprised asked what happened to him
he explained he could utilise some of his learnings
in the farms to have crops grown in a better way
and told about as many plans as never his father has thought of
he proudly told his wife
my son has now better instincts surely he will teach me something.

What I got from this, was that we all have dreams of finding a good job, in our youth most of us (if not all) think that jobs are easy to find, that the first job we see is the one we're going to get. But it never works like that. The boy is progressing, as we do, rising and falling.

I feel so bad for the boy how he couldn't hold down a job but he helped his family in the end so all was kind of well. It seemed like so words were missing but that was probably on purpose but it was still took a minute to process what i was reading because words were missing.
