How to Fix Sad Love

How to Fix Sad Love

A Poem by Jace Loring
"

When love has no taste a dash of spice may help for an hour, but on its own, spice will not fix sad love.

"
When love has no taste
a dash of spice may help for an hour,
but on its own, spice will not fix sad love.

There is no easy fix for sad love.
Though you can mask the bad taste and smell with a rose
it is still broke if it is sad.

But SOUP!!?
Your spice will go quite well with soup!

Soup stays with us a long time,
makes us warm,
and warmly fills the cold void left by sad love.

Sure, soup may go cold in time, of course, but....
it does not lash out, or
say the mean thing, or
hit and yell and lie and spend
or cry.

Soup is hot for you, now!
And if soup should go cold, we all know...
is was your fault, you S**t! Not the soup!
Cold  soup can still be very, very good,
but cold love?

No.

You can even cheat with soup.
Dip what you like in it.
It will say, "Yes!" to your weird game,
but will not  judge you or make you feel weird.

No, soup may not be love
                                              but
you can still love soup.
