About Me

Seeker of wisdom and truth, collector of experiences, curator of stories and lies, friend to the odd, companion to the lonely, a hopeful but discouraged optimist, and in every way a walking contradiction.
I'm just a quirky guy with more questions than answers, who lives in the woods, and likes to write.

I work with what's around me, what I've felt, people I've known, sharing confusion and perplexity, drawing on victories and failures, religeon, personal struggles, substance abuses, all tossed together into the pot. I often tap current events and injustices I perceive for inspiration.

My friends know me as an instigator, trouble maker, agitator, but with a kind heart (I hope).

I usually begin my poems begin the way a knitter might begin knitting a sweater. By the end, I'm often pulling on loose threads, unraveling what has been woven.

I don't follow rules very well, and I don't really care that I don't follow rules well. When I create a poem, it's an attempt to connect and share something personal.

My poems are sometimes autobiographical, often autoempathetic, but usually I just make stuff up or share what I've experienced through others. Don't look for truth in my poems. Look for a feeling.
