Rage

Rage

A Poem by Jack...
"

Rage is the demon of faultless nightmares

"

Rage

By jack

Rage aborts the future

In violent belief

A cataclysmic photograph

Albeit often brief

Bursting veins of razors

Slashing to the bone

Cutting quick, cutting deep

Ugliness is shown

Eyes of burning nature

Words profane a’ flung

Standing firm upon the hand

Gripping tight the wrung

Disaster forms the outcome

A sinking ship does sail

For rage shall take the winners

And cause them all to fail

Thanks so very much Jacob
Wow! Now that is some...rage! lol. Another break away from the norm for you but I really like it. It's dark, infested with malignant delight, and it is delicious in its entirety. You've penned something wonderful, just like you always do.

Thanks so much Kristin. I appreciate you stopping by and leaving such nice comments for me.
Rage shall take the winners and cause them all to fail. So very true. I am prone to purging my baser nature in poetry so I would be one to tell you - write it down and write it out till the poetic ink runs clear.

Just put on a happy face...
I like the warning in the end, but hope it doesn't pertain to anyone's creative spirit. Take it easy brother, stress never helped anyone.

Human nature unfortunately, there's anger and then there's the fearful and destructive rage you write so poignantly here, nice job.

Thank you so much my friend.
Such words of "rage" blazing like fire in each line, the imagery you captured here, like being trapped inside a burning inferno of rage's hell. Very insightful...and the fluidity of this poem is almost lyrical...wonderful use of imagery and choice of words. Thanks for sharing! :)

Don't make me mad John...thanks
Lovely visceral quality to this one Jack. Something of a departure for you my friend. Very different to your usual pieces celebrating the beauty of life or sadness of solitude.
This delves into deeper darker waters and I like it....
