While standing in the sun

While standing in the sun

A Poem by Jack...
"

Summer is almost here

"

While standing in the sun

by jack

I take the sun in summer skies

in waves of warmth so free

Beginning with the morning rise

until the end I see

For I shall bask in lonely dreams

so bright that they have come

To find the reason that it means

to stand out in the sun

For of theses day my skin does turn

a glowing color red

If wind breaks soft, yet I shall learn

these thoughts inside my head

To catch a glimpse of golden shine

I call for what is new

As moments fight with borrowed time

then cast these feelings true

For I shall wait alone this day

within the grasses tall

Along a breeze, they tend to sway

in spite of what is all

And count the season's tender beams

each hour one by one

And lose myself within my dreams

while standing in the sun

Oh my God! What I would do for a sunny day right now! Just a teeeeeny tiny bit would do, 5 minutes even, haha.

This was a great write, Jack! Loved it!

Thanks so much my friend.
There was a time that all I longed for is the coming of summer as I believed that all beautiful things happen during this season. Though the weather in our country is now becoming too insanely hot, this piece just brought me back to my carefree summer days. Exceptional piece.

Thank you so much Gabrielle. Not too hot yet, but your are correct, it is getting there.
This reminded me of late afternoon winter sun shining through the window so you can see all the handprints on it.. Ohh, what I just said is quite good, imam use that haha. Anyway, I like the smooth flow of ur work, all ur work in general tbh. U never fail to deliver the quality that is now expected of you :) Good work. This is the poem that brightened my Monday
