Exposed

Exposed

A Poem by Jack...
"

How real is real?

"

Exposed

Unravel the night as it nods off

to become a wall of darkness

until the sun looks into your eyes

once again

and you feel the light of truth

Then tell me what is real

among the promises we have made

and why the blood running through our veins

speaks of us, and only us

as our hearts are seduced

Shall we continue to live on the edge

where each breath we take

challenges our bodies to become

harmoniously in control

and one with each other

For as our hearts do speak

of the need to see each other's face

and how love's flame burns

within our eyes, we dream of destiny’s

touch upon our soul

Reaching for the light, truly shining

on our hearts and of our faces

to open the eyes of those who do not

see or know,

exposing our love for what it is

So take me unto this light with you

to play as children in the snow

to love as adults within the driving passion

taking us deeper into the realm

of love unhidden, exposed

You have seduced my heart with this one Jack! First poem I read, and it can't get any better than this..oh the simplicity of love and the vulnerabilities, it's all in your gorgeous poetry. I am taking a fancy to this non-rhyming turn of yours, although you are still the King when it comes to the former. I was missing my dose of Jack, this filled that void, just blew me away this one!

Thank you so much for your always kind words.

so many just stop at passion - and they never ascend to agape love. Passion is wonderful but agape love is so much better and this poem attests to that. It calls to that. Well done.

Thank you so very much sweet Tammy. I always enjoy reading your comments.
A most relevant piece that shows just hw exposed we all are in present times, and it may never change!

Nice work here. I liked the use of the imaginary of light.

George, you are too kind. Thanks so much
Jack, is it hot in here? Did your wife melt when you read this to her? Omgoodness, there's to many great moments in here to pick just one. I would describe this as a decadent dessert :)

This has been written to perfection, a lovely poem to end my night with. The simplicity of love along with the vulnerabilities. I love the way you write, Jack. It's gorgeous!

You too, Jack.
Love won't be a perfect one if it is hidden and unconfirmed. You will only feel the true happiness if the love is "Exposed".

Another wonderful creation of words. Thanks, Jack. :)
