Single Wave

There's something so simple about a single wave

 

Single Wave

 

 

Molded swiftly of the sand

A straighter line does call the sky

To the realm of every land

A breaking point before the eye

 

Crashing as the wisdom heard

For thy foam does fill this sea

Spoken in a whispered word

Silently symphonic free

 

Caught between the roaring wave

This tide now plays its captured foe

Until the time of meetings made

Back to sea it now must go

 

Take away the sanded sheet

Place the greyest beach at bay

Shaded images deplete

Till nothing but the truth shall stay

 

Peaceful as is heavens gaze

Aqua lain atop the line

Clouded on this secret maze

Savored as is finer wine

 

Paste in shapes and colors bold

Dancing from thy fingers free

Elapsing time does now unfold

A single wave upon the sea

I live near the ocean and spend much time there so I could deeply appreciate your words, which were penned so beautifully, Jack. There is something about the ocean, that single wave, that soothes the soul, a real sense of freedom.

I love the sea! I love sitting on the beach on a sunny day (which we don't get in Scotland much) and reading a book or listening to music. I went to the beach with my friend one day, we just walked a long the beach on a lovely hot day and caught up. I hadn't seem him in ages and he offered me to go so I thought, why not? It was great!
