Morning Sunshine

Morning Sunshine

A Poem by Jack...
"

A poem for our daily sunshine...Cassie

"

Morning Sunshine

 for Cassie

Clouds all a’ scatter, the greyest of views

Drizzle does tickle the ground

Willows are weeping amidst early gloom

Sadness this world can be found

Chipmunks now scurry to hide in their den

Songbirds stay silent away

Butterfly tear drops now longing to end

Shadows they frighten this day

~~~~~~
Then the horizon a whispering sight
Ribbons of cellophane gold
Trinkets of beams form an early day light
Frowns soon to be put on hold
For outside my window now beckoning me
Glowing in smiles ever fine
Shimmering happiness all come to see
Cassie our morning sunshine
What a pretty image you paint with these well-chosen words! I especially like the ribbons of cellophane gold. This poem was a delight to read. :)
Thank you so very much Lily
I too feel out of the loop, as I do not know this person...or if I do, it is not personally. Still, the ode is so beautifully written. Jack, I think you truly shine when you write "for" or "about" someone, because your amazing heart is fully realized in these pieces. You make connections on an emotional level that are truly inspiring. This was sublime, delicate, lovely and Cassie is a lucky girl for having such a beautiful piece penned for her. Well done!
There is a love woven between the lines, as warm as the sun itself. A most beautiful presentation, Jack!
You are welcome...:)
Only suggestion: insert a comma after "Then" in the 3rd stanza. Thank you for sharing, as always. I could use some sunshine today lol
