Coded Emotions

Coded Emotions

A Poem by Jack...

Coded Emotions

Like Morse code on dampened glass,

raindrops form a weathered phrase

interpreting this broken heart now

dripping in endless sorrow

of un-breathing days wasted

on paned emotions

Even the midday sun

briefly pushing away clustered clouds

can not erase the stains

streaked of weeping moments,

salted in so many fears

and wonderings…

Shattered, lying in pieces,

transparent mosaics of jagged will

cut deep and wide on this tired skin,

bleeding out in pools of disgrace

as I translate the moistened dots and dashes

to find that they merely ask…why?

That they do. Atmospheric and insightful.

SA??????????????????????
I often toyed with the idea that Nature sent messages in various forms, the ocean waves, cloud patterns, stars... rain as Morse code is a great one. Such a painful write; very well done and crystal clear.

Days are wasted on endless sorrow , but the weeping moments are worth it for the beloved. We have to wait for the sunshine to appear from the paned emotions of fear , worry , disgrace feeling and so forth...Excellent...:)...............

Thank you so very much Carolann.
Breaking my heart Jack, love the imagery here, it's etched in pathos, yet so eloquently written you still come away satiated in it's elegance. Killer first line my friend.

Well they are heading in the right direction right now.
"morse code on dampened glass" - what an amazing metaphor that would certainly create challenges for any message to get through to it's intended target. You carry the theme of "windows" through really well, from glass, panes, streaks and shattered pieces. A superb analogy of heartbreak. The final line holds much truth and often the only remaining question is in fact "why". I could relate to all of this. well done. Justine
