Words...freakish moments of fear

Words...freakish moments of fear

A Poem by Jack...

Words…freakish moments of fear

Tiny pieces of skin scatter the floor beneath me

Fragments of what I might have been

Transparent below the fluorescent lights

Flickering in harmonic shadows

On smoke stained ceiling tiles

Perforated by lost dreams

And words spoken out of turn

Blood follows suit in reflective horror

Pooling in oblong shapes…willing, demanding

Even the eye that wishes not to see

Pulling life drip by dictated drip

Causing chuckles from the blade

Snickering razors unite

Within the hands of the scorned

Pleading, not a valued added option

As confessions have been tossed

Hidden under stainless steel cabinetry

Diamond plated for effect

Ridged to keep the slippery surfaces

Dotted with that frozen face

Constantly staring, flaring, glaring

Weakness consumes me as I witness

Friends falling in line…friends?

Tormenting with sides of repetitiveness

In echoed voices praising the efforts

Rating the demeaning factors ten-fold

Loading favorites with unwritten hate

Pointing as if they can’t see…but they do

Words…freakish moments of fear

Uttered to the wrong congratulatory party

Cake and ice cream for the accuser

Pain and suffering for the accused

As faces gather in written comments

And loneliness finds its home

Just as it was always meant to be

Check this out, Jackomantic - this is dark and oh so powerful and just what Noodle loves to read! I loved this one, you hooked me in and didn't let me go even after the poem was finished! Definitely one of my favourites.

That sums it up marvelously dear poet. Powerful imagery and truth. The flaring of injustice in the glaring of the unjust...Excellent...:)..............

Well, as you know I prefer it dark and strong, this is just up my alley (ha, being a cat and all) any way, one teensy question, and you know I rarely question you, so, bloods flows should be bloods flow or blood flows?
