A Poem by Goo

Life on track
To what it should be
But you came back
Too late for me

Found it was a phase
All the mischief we had
Through the murky haze
We see what went bad

With a time machine
We could return
To a slate that's clean
And free from the burn

I've just made love
To the one I'm with
Like two peace doves
My soul now lives

Do you remember
How we used we to be
All that glamour
And ember free

We cant change the past
But we make the future
A moment built to last
With a proud stature

We return to our lives
And hide what we said
Walk forward to thrive
And put us to bed

Is this the final time
I lay awake to think
Now a peaceful chime
Yet you're there when I blink.
