NEVER LAND

NEVER LAND

A Poem by Jaime Luthe

"YOU CAN FLY"
"YOU CAN FLY"

Lovely thoughts and pixie dust
Could always make me flutter.
A magical boy and tiny fairy was a must
to free me from life's clutter.

What has changed, in my life?
When did I begin to deny the magic?
What kind of imaginable strife,
Could turn a little girl to a woman so tragic?

I remember kneeling at my bedroom window
I stared into the moonlight
The words would forever echo
"THE SECOND STAR TO THE RIGHT"

"If its Never Land you need"
In my head, the song lyrics ran
I'd sit there as grandma would read.
Where are you Peter Pan?

Take me away,
I wanna stand
I wanna stay
in Never land
