THRISTED

THRISTED

A Poem by Janay Kimble

I have been here waiting

I have thirsted.

I have sought the mind unfolding

I have gazed at

Beauty, waiting here,

For a sign to be heard

So very near that,

I forgot to taste

The goodness; oft swept away.

Still

I have been here thinking

I have planted

I have fulfilled a plan of multiplying

I will tell that story

How he raised that

How we praise that

And I will tell you that story

Goodness and mercy,

Love and peace,

It is the story of love

Oh, the story -

Of love

We praise that
