Remember

Remember

Wipe it out, wipe it dry,
faces, you were never meant to remember.
Close your eyes, free your mind,
spaces, empty voids, stormy weather.
Always around, lost and found,
places, never after.
Tell me why, tell me now,
visions, one after another.

Hold me tight, never go,
lest I slip, do remember.
Give me away, ive gone astray,
disappointment, bad news bearer.
I'm a bird, i'm a snake,
slither and fly, give and take.
Unfaithful creature, I you are,
cursed and boundless, heart of scars.

Dare you try, touch my soul,
lingering myth, no one told.
Dare you try, free my load,
much too heavy, weight of coal.
Dare you try, take a stroll,
along my mind, this darkened hole.
Dare you try, feel once more,
close to me, now watch that door.

So far away, that lure of a cure,
you're so far away, almost obscure.
So far away, unlikely to be,
knight in an armor,
perhaps too early.

Still, hold me tight, never go,
lest I slip, do remember.
