Lost Prohecy

Lost Prophecy

Deadly Secrets

Underneath our silent Earth,

Are slaughtered secretly,

While the misfits move defiantly

Awaiting silently, their rebirth.

An advent, centuries in the making,

All our souls for the taking.

To shatter the morning mist,

With a dissonant tryst,

Just an old fairy tale that’s been missed.

Ditches dug in barren soil, people tucked snug

Scorching flowers drenched with oil,

War- mongers constantly toil,

Our past pushed under the moon,

After pushers pass, smug,

To blockade the sacred tombs

Hiding treasures beyond belief

With treasured beliefs barred violently,

Charred in a cross of blessed frost,

Soon all will be lost,

Lest we change rapidly.

One final stand,

A fight to decide fate,

Under the broken sun,

Where raucous gunrunners run

Guns blazing through an acrylic haze.

The masses left in a daze.

The heavens shattered,

By their awesome might

Blood spattered,

Against despoiled rights.

One final blow dealt

Chaos prevalent,

To the King of Incubi,

Finally felled,

His loss apparent.

A memorial to he who rebelled,

With memories dispelled.

Strife that is rife.

A forever-poignant burial,

A fairy tale immemorial.

This reminded me of a end-of-the-world type thing. Very powerful and imaginative piece. I enjoyed this read. My only suggestion for you is typo in the title and I think on the last sentence of the second stanza it was meant to have a period. Other than that, a marvelous read.
