Hatred

Hatred

A Poem by Maura Ansley

I hate you
that stupid smiling mouth
that never admits defeat
Those scars on your wrists
that will never go away.
You've gained weight, I see.
Almost five pounds this week.
You shouldn't eat so much
lazy b***h.
Excercise
Burn it off.

I hate your hair.
Have I mentioned that?
It just hangs
it hides your ugly face
which should be a good thing.

You have no figure.
You're too fat for that.
Your eyes are too small, and squinty.
And have I mentioned how short you are?
Short and fat
excellent combination.

That sweatshirt is too big.
What, you think you can hide your fat behind it?
Yeah right.
They don't look at you anyways.
Nobody ever really looks at you.
Nobody hears you.

THIS is why I don't look in the mirror anymore.
