No Clear Direction

No Clear Direction

A Poem by Riley Bray
"

We're all just slaves to our society, but still we dream.

"
Hidden
In an
Empty shell of
Frozen memories.
Cryptic
In a
Swirling Vortex
Of words and melodies.
But maybe,
I'll break free
And fly somewhere
Above a foaming sea
And I'll wave,
In greeting
At the wild mustangs
With empty feelings.

Always. Moving. Forward.

They tell me i'm not fit to fly
They all laugh, I sit and cry
And here I'm standing all alone
Lost in a wonderland all my own.

Hidden
In an
Empty shell of
Frozen memories.
Cryptic
In a
Swirling Vortex
Of words and melodies.
But maybe,
I'll break free
And fly somewhere
Above a foaming sea
And I'll wave,
In greeting
At the wild mustangs
With empty feelings.

Where did I go wrong?
I've lost my faith
In the world around me
Stuck in yesterday.
When will I know, I belong?
Where will I go, and know I'm the right one?

Falling
In a
Churning pit
Inside life's whirlpool.
Soaring
In an
Optic Illusion
Outside my minds capacity.
But hey
Maybe someday
I'll gain some insane sanity
Inside of this twisted reality
And I'll smile
And wink and wave and say
Today is someday.
