Anger

Anger

A Poem by Riley Bray
"

"
Wet anger is what comes most often
It is where your eyes water and sting
It is where your voice quivers
And threatens to give you away
Wet anger is where beads of sweat
Form dramatically on your forehead
It is where your cheek twitches from stress
It is where you will be made to look weak
Like a disaster
It is where your emotions form like rabies
Because they've finally been unleashed,
A wild beast.

Dry anger is a special anger
It's where your hands hang loose at your sides
It's a stony face
Where your voice cuts clean
Like scissors
Where you proudly sport your battle scars
And where you choose to let them go

Wet anger means you're still fighting
But dry anger means you're done.
