Angel Dreams

Angel Dreams

A Poem by Norma J. Jessee
"

Lyrics, for male singer.

"

You were lying there so peaceful,

With a sweet smile on your face,

Lord you looked just like an angel;

In your satin and your lace.

I want to reach and touch you darling,

For loving you is what life means,

But when I open up my eyes I find;

I'm only having angel dreams.

Chorus:

Angel Dreams,

Angel Dreams,

They take control,

Of my soul,

Life is so worth while,

When I see you smile,

In my

Angel Dreams.

I didn't know that God let angels,

Make a heart so sad and blue,

But my world is so lonely;

Cause I'm not there with you.

 But at night when I'm sleeping,

I know what heaven means,

For there I'll find you waiting;

In my sweet, sweet angel dreams.

wow I never knew you were the lyrical writer :-). I agree about the piano music; perhaps adding some soft flutes as well. such a melancholy piece this is - it does beg for those solemn sad flutes. this is a beautiful piece, though tragic and pensive in its subject matter. I do love the idea of angel dreams - where you reconnect with the loved ones passed on before you. :-)

I love it! It made me tear up abit. Beautifly written, I have had a few angel dreams myself and you have described them perfectly. Bravo!

love is when an angel cries, stunning heartfelt and exceptional work Norma,
the voice has a way of flowing straight to the readers soul, a tribute
to the crafty, creative thought, to what it feels like to see an angel
dream in full color, heavenly, lovely, passionate, sensuous and touching.
what I also admire is the sense of lyrical beat,
creative and natural rhythm in talent, a #1 hit in my book.
and I agree, would play with wonder to soft, piano music and candlelight

Oh I find writing lyrics a bit different then poetry and I must say I could her the soft piano being played as these beautiful lyrics are sung with grace.
