Prologue

Prologue

A Chapter by Alexa Wood

I was never the kind of girl who liked being around people a lot. Some would say that I was an introvert. But introvert by definition is a person who is shy, and not very social. That wasn't me. My condition was probably worse. I didn't even like being around my parents. And its not that I don't like my parents. They are pretty decent people. Its just...Its not something that I can explain.
You see, when I was five, I started seeing...things. Okay, now I sound ridiculously cheesy. I started seeing ghosts...? Ghosts. I know. Call me crazy. Call me a whacko. I'm gonna stick to what I just said.
I see ghosts. You heard me (read me, whatever). When my grand-mom passed away, I used to speak to her sometimes during the night, when everyone else was asleep. I used to keep telling myself that I was just imagining her, and as a five year old, I thought that was normal. But it took me three years to realise that I wasn't imagining her. She was actually there there
Soon, as more people died, I saw more. But they don't bother me all the time. They know when to appear and when not to.
But this has been a secret of mine for a long time.
Until I met Warner after I graduated from college.
