exhausted exuberance

exhausted exuberance

A Poem by Jen.ledda

A claim of past, exuberance no longer.

Bound to the mountain,

with difficulty inclined.

A stare to below, backwards and up.

And now these quiet houses pass a deafening din.

Laborless work of exhausting measure,

To this I am tethered.

Well, it's good to be tethered if one is on a mountain, yes? But not tethered to a mountain of work. Heres wishing you some much deserved rest.
