hollowed out

hollowed out

A Poem by jmrs929

hollowed out
empty and cold
drained and drawn
truth be told

where is my soul

my life my relief
what do i have
when there is no belief

i step and i walk

trying not to falter
i trip and i fall
but my path will not alter

death is inviting

a warm release
nothing to fear
no one to please

what would i change

if only i could
not a single moment
would do any good

watch and wince

as i make my mistakes
but just understand
how many tries life takes…
