every childs american dream

every childs american dream

A Poem by jmrs929

every childs american dream

really quite simple so it seems
baby dolls and building blocks

pretty dresses and frilly socks

piano lessons, dance and cheer

tball games with your parents there

congratulations for all those a s

and cups of cocoa on bad days

hugs and kisses for every bruise

untouched innocence you never lose

theres loving mommies who never leave

and hero daddies dont make you bleed

you never run and hide in fear

or wonder if youre wanted there

no fucked up thoughts inside your head

no more wishing you were dead

every childs american dream…

really quite simple so it seems
