A Poem by she makes me weird

may i call you gorgeous?

can i tell you how beautiful you are to me?

words just aren't sufficient to describe the light you eminate, you see

although i'm far away

i still see you in my dreams

but your smile's void of authenticity it seems

where did you go?

who took you away?

permission to speak freely, if i may

i can't save you or click my heels and make things better

but i know i can make you laugh and smile

it may take a while

i know you will learn to trust

you can test me if you must

i won't let you down

i will make you a crown

so it will be evident

you're heaven sent

if you would just take my hand

i can show you to a new land

the past is no longer here

you don't have to live in fear

just let the wind blow through your hair

with the sun at your back

and a smile on your face

let's live life at a new pace

just two friends

who are happy and free

now will you trust me?

Very beautifully written...such a trace of sadness, of 'love lost' somehow...

the past is no longer here
you don't have to live in fear

These are truly great lines! And a very powerful piece.
Good job!

there is such an honest tone
that pulses throughout this
piece of poetry...I love how
it made me feeeel...and it
made me feel good.
